To widen an armhole too tight at the front, draw a line that starts from the round part of the armhole to the tip of the bust dart.
Cut along the line to the tip of the dart.
Close the bust dart to give ease to the armhole.
Place a piece of paper under the pattern and paste it.
Redraw the armhole and the shoulder with the dart closed.
At the back, draw a line from the armhole to the tip of the shoulder dart approximately 90°.
Cut along the line to the tip of the dart.
Close slightly the shoulder dart to give ease to the armhole.
Place a piece of paper under the pattern and paste it.
Redraw the armhole and the shoulder.
To tighten a loose armhole on the front, mark the middle of the bust dart.
Draw a line which starts from the round part of the armhole to the tip of the bust dart. Cut along the centre line of the bust dart to the tip of the dart.
Fold along the armhole line to reduce it and increase the bust dart.
Place a piece of paper under the pattern and paste it. Redraw the shoulder and the armhole.
At the back, draw a line that starts from the armhole to the tip of the shoulder dart approximately 90°.
Mark the middle of the shoulder dart and cut along to the tip of the dart.
Fold along the armhole line to reduce the armhole and increase shoulder dart.
Place a piece of paper under the pattern and paste it.
Redraw the shoulder and the armhole with the dart closed.
