To shorten a bodice pattern, find the line indicating the location to shorten or add one.
Measure the distance to shorten and report it in parallel to this line. Fold the pattern so that the two lines are one over the other and hold them with tape.
Redraw the sides and the darts of the pattern.
Do the same on the front and back of the bodice.
To lengthen a bodice pattern, find the line indicating the location to lengthen or add one.
Cut along this line and paste one part on a paper. From that line, measure the distance to add and draw another line parallel.
Redraw the grainline on the paper to align the other pattern piece and paste it.
Redraw the sides and darts of the pattern.
Do the same on the front and back of the bodice.
