I know, you're thinking, "Another swimsuit sewing pattern from Opian!" Even though other projects are in the pipeline, I have to admit: new swimsuit ideas always make it to the top of the pile! And yes, it turns out to be one of my favorite garments to create, and what a pleasure to be able to wear a handmade swimsuit that fits perfectly!

A pattern accessible to all

If you're wondering if sewing a swimsuit is complicated, rest assured, the VEISIVI pattern is completely accessible. It was designed for motivated seamstresses, even those with little experience working with Lycra. Assembly is simple, supplies are kept to a minimum, and everything is done so that you can enjoy creating your own bikini without stress. I even recommend VEISIVI as your first swimsuit project.

Model

VEISIVI is a reversible, wire-free bikini top with ties that can be tied or secured with a seam. It features gathered cups and matching knickers, making it a great, modern alternative to the traditional triangle top.

Technicity

The only slight challenge? Working with Lycra and elastic, which can be a little slippery at first. But nothing insurmountable!
